Uniquely designed process developed in-house by Bridgecraft Engineering. The primary purpose of this process is to reduce cycle times and maximise production. This in turn reduces unit costs of manufacture, enabling BridgeCraft to meet customer budgets with ease.
How it works
Our process involves the use of custom made multiple work holding fixtures that we designed and manufactured in house. Used in conjunction with specially adapted machining centres, fitted with a fourth axis or indexer unit at one end of the table, with a purpose made steady at the other, allows BridgeCraft to meet your targets with ease.
BridgeCraft can manufacture fixtures to accommodate many different shapes and
sizes of components in house to meet the requirement. The MWRFM process can
also be considered for components that were previously thought to have been turned items only. Our automatic cutting ability, combined with our MWRFM process enables BridgeCraft to be more competitive than those using the latest multi axis CNC lathes. For those parts that have to be turned, we also have CNC bar feed lathes which we run piggy-back with machining centres fitted with MWRFM setups.
The MWRFM Advantage
Our unique process has many advantages over the recognised multi-vice and multi-work holding setups. MWRFM allows us to carry out multi-plane machining in one operation, which means we are working the component less. Ultra fast jig reload time is our key to reduced cycle time. All of our MWRFM setups incorporate twin jigs/mandrels so as one is component is being processed the other jig/mandrel is being reloaded with blank components.
